The Servant preaches because faith cometh by hearing. The Captive cannot see — the god of this world hath blinded his mind — so God himself gives repentance, draws, reproves, and opens the understanding. The Receiver believes and calls, and in that moment God performs the Big Baptism: circumcised without hands, sealed, baptized into one body, seated in heavenly places, adopted. Old things are passed away.

Baptism demonstrates the gift already given — buried with him, walking in newness of life. The receiver joins the body, assembles, serves, and is transformed within the local church. Abiding in the Vine, he bears the fruit of the Spirit — and the abundant life is seen: love for God and love for one another, that all men may know.

One receiver becomes a servant. He commits what he heard to faithful men, who teach others also — four generations in a single verse. The word of God grows and multiplies; churches are established and increase in number daily. The lap ends where it began: GO YE.
